Saturday Morning at the Farmer's Market

Love to visit the farmer's market in Norman, it's very large with something for just about anyone. But it's more than fresh veggies and flowers. It's about people who chose a different path, not nine to fivers, not corparate types. These people aren't fancy and have dirt under their nails. But you know they love their work, they love the earth and bring good nourishing food to people who choose a different path too.

Also something I've noticed often, everyone is happy and cheerful. They want to be there and like me they love good food and colorful plants. In many ways a modern Americana.

Meet Harley, she is only a year old and she is tall and leggy and loves all the attention she gets from passerbys. I couched down to take her picture and instantly she was interested in me. Eye to eye we were and as you can see, she's very photogenic.

So if you get a chance, check out a farmer's market near you. You will be glad you did.
