The World in Black & White

I'm always rather amazed at the transformation from color to black and white photography. The change seems to distill the photo to its purest qaulities. This dying hydrangea blossom looks lumious instead of sad. I must admit changing from color to B&W isn't something I do on a regular basis and that's a shame.

In this photo the leading lines of the barbed wire fence catches my eye where it doesn't in the color version. Color is so exciting to the eye that I miss details.

And shadows become more dramatic, I adore shadows and even more in black & white. Yes, must do more in black and white.
