Love the picture of Tom reading the paper on the back porch. It was a rare cool July afternoon and that almost never happens in Oklahoma. Seriously, “cool” and “July” are two words never spoken together, well until now that is. We recently screened in the back porch and I can’t think of a home improvement that pleased me more, no bugs or crawly things!  In the morning the birds in the trees are a symphony.

I usually don’t have good luck with geraniums but this year I had a strong desire for fire engine red geraniums and so far they are doing well.  I had to put several large rocks in the pot to keep the wind from knocking the pot over.

It's been a lovely summer and there is still plenty to come.
